Stageworx, Inc. provides consulting, design, custom fabrication, and installation to the entertainment industry and other industries. Services include scenic, lighting, and sound design for stage productions and other shows, events, and attractions, as well as event operation. Stageworx, Inc. cultivates a client's vision by determining specific aesthetics as they relate to the production, and prepares the process for fabrication. The fabrication team custom-builds the designs for the client, according to plans from Stageworx, Inc., or the clients themselves.

Our 3,200 square foot studio facility, with a 20-foot ceiling, is well suited for a large volume of set construction. Its modular layour allows for the full assembly of theatrical sets and/or multiple projects of less mass.

Our lighting and sound designers are right on cue to collaborate ideas and resources giving you the best possible results.

Jason Blanchard, President

Jason is the president of Stageworx, Inc. He recently graduated with honors from The University of Montana with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts, option in Drama/Dance, option in Design/Technology, with emphasis in Technical Direction and Scenic Design, and a minor in Media Arts. While obtaining his degree in three and a half years, Jason also executed at least one production assignment each of those semesters. He was awarded five scholarships during his academic career including the 2006-2007-Talent Scholarship from the Drama/Dance department. He spent three semesters on the scene shop staff, teaching students the fundamentals of scenery construction and two years as house manager of the Drama/Dance department, teaching students about front of house management.

Jason began his professional career in 1997 as Production Manager for R.J. Ogren Studios in Lexington, VA. Since then he has held many positions across the country including scene shop manager for Washington and Lee University, Technical Director for the Virginia School for the Arts, seven national tours as Technical Director for the Montana Repertory Theatre and lead carpenter for the PBS documentary The Natural History of the Chicken.

Dan Hartmann, Vice President

Dan is the Vice President of Stageworx, Inc. This semester Dan is finishing his degree at The University of Montana, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts, option Drama/Dance, option Design Technology with emphasis in Lighting and Audio Design. He has been on the light shop staff as well as Sound Shop Manager for the Drama/Dance department four consecutive years.

For the past three years Dan has served as Sound Designer and Audio Engineer for the nationally touring productions of the Montana Repertory Theatre. In his "spare time", Dan teaches sound design at The University of Montana and is an Audio Engineer for Sound Creations, performing live reinforcement duties for such events as Missoula Downtown Tonight, Missoula First Night, and two time Grammy nominated Latin sensation Tiempo Libre in concert.

Dan is also an accomplished Technical Director and Carpenter. Professionally he has worked with the Montana Repertory Theatre building sets for their last four national tours - Steel Magnolias, A Trip to Bountiful, Lost in Yonkers and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. During time, Dan and Jason have developed several versions of a modular, lightweight floor panel system, which they have submitted to the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) for publication in their Technical Solutions for Theatre periodical.

Alysia Blanchard, Treasurer, Secretary

Alysia is the Secretary and Treasurer of Stageworx, Inc. She graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Special Attainments in Commerce. During her academic career she performed substantial course work in disciplines, served on the drama department production staff and was a part of the Art Department staff.

This entertainment experience led her to become an Actor's Equity Association (AEA) Stage Manager. Her professional career blossomed while at Theater at Lime Kiln, where she spent five years. While at Theater at Lime Kiln she fulfilled periodic roles as Assistant Director and Lighting Designer. She was also Marketing Director for two seasons. Since then Alysia has stage managed four national tours and coordinated two Colony Playwright Festivals for the Montana Repertory Theatre.

Currently she is the Accounting/Office Manager for LS Jensen Construction & Ready Mix, where her responsibilities include financial reporting, budget preparation and personnel management for multiple offices apart of the Montana Group for Old Castle Materials, which is the largest supplier of masonry materials in the United States.
